Fatherland

Fatherland is a 2026 biographical film directed by Paweł Pawlikowski, who co-wrote the screenplay with Hendrik Handloegten. The film stars Sandra Hüller as Erika and Hanns Zischler as Thomas Mann, respectively, who embark on a road trip across Germany in 1949. It is the third entry in Pawlikowski's trilogy of historical films, following Ida (2013) and Cold War (2018).
